Woodbridge, NJ (PRWEB) May 5, 2008 -- CAMO Software continues its focus on applying The Unscrambler® suite of software in multivariate sensory analysis by selecting The Sensory Analysis Center at Kansas State University as The Unscrambler® Center of Excellence for sensory analysis, which will be headed by world-renowned professor, Edgar Chambers IV, Ph.D. Dr. Chambers is the Director of the Sensory Analysis Center, and Professor of Sensory Analysis and Consumer Behavior of the Department of Human Nutrition at Kansas State University.
Since 1983, The Sensory Analysis Center has provided confidential, effective solutions for more than 100 domestic and international companies. The center evaluates foods, beverages, cosmetics, fabrics, packaging, paints, health care products and fragrances using consumer testing and/or descriptive sensory analysis. Researchers at the center conduct investigations to further the scientific understanding of sensory analysis, food science, marketing and psychology.
Before Kansas State University , Dr. Chambers was manager of sensory and statistical analyses at the world-headquarters of the Seven-Up Company. He consults extensively with industry on product evaluation, consumer understanding, and advertising claim substantiation. His expertise encompasses food products such as meat and grains, packaging, personal care, fabric, paper, pharmaceutical, paint finishes, fragrance, and other consumer and industrial products. Dr. Chambers is a past Chair of the Sensory Division of ASTM International and was named a "Fellow" of that organization in 2006. Dr. Chambers also is one of several U.S. delegates to the ISO (International Standards Organization) committee on Sensory Evaluation. He is on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Sensory Studies and is active in the Institute of Foods Technologists and other professional organizations
